We have developed a company that optimizes environmental concerns through developing relationships with engineers, biologists, surveyors, landscape architects, developers, governmental agencies, and homeowners.
ERC is an innovative company that specializes in wetland evaluations, design, construction, and protection. We work in conjunction with, and complement the skills of civil engineers and professional land surveyors and landscape architects to provide services and products that are functional, cost-effective, and sustainable. We continue to undertake research to improve the knowledge base of wetlands protection.

We are the 1998 EPA Environmental Technology Innovator Award winner for Stormwater Mitigation Design, and the country’s only back-to-back EPA award winner for our 1999 EPA award for Erosion Control. Be sure to visit those sections of this site to learn more of ERC’s outstanding services.

The year 2002 marks ERC’s 32nd year in business providing products and services for your environmental and ecological needs. With our central location in Freetown, MA., and our northern locations in Maine, and Vermont; we are able to reach most sites in New England, New York, and New Jersey with ease. Our sub-offices and regional presence in Florida, Connecticut, Washington state, New Jersey, Delaware, California, New York, Michigan, and Hawaii give us nationwide availability, and means ERC is available in any US location on short notice. In Massachusetts, we are a leading company for wetland delineations, and in some communities, ERC completes as many as 100 wetland projects a year in a single community - our project count now being over 30,000 over the past three decades.
Two companies - one common goal. Environmental Research Corps with its ecological services, and its sister firm which manufactures and distributes environmental products, BioMass Farms offers its clients complete environmental project needs.
Whether its is wetland delineations by ERC, or biodegradable silt fences such as BioFence, the goal of meeting every project need is satisfied. Our goal is the one Governor Swift gave when describing ERC to a news reporter - “ERC blends environmental sense with economic vitality”. We agree.....
